In case you've stumbled upon my incredibly boring LJ, I thought I should introduce myself.
I very rarely write about myself, and when I do, I stick to lists and boring facts. I don't like how real things seem when you write them down, and how every private word you've ever written can become inescapable once published online.
So these are the (boring) facts:
My name is Johanne, but I will also respond to Anne. My parents named me Anne but ended up calling me Johanne, and even though my father legally changed my named to Johanne when I was 13, I'm still confused.
I'm 21 years old. I don't really understand when that happened. I still accidentally tell people I'm 17. They usually don't believe me.
I live in Denmark. I'm not happy about this. However, I'm not motivated enough to do something about this, either.
I like trains, traveling and television. The latter is what brought me here to LJ. It's a wonderful place to keep track of all my obsessions.
When I grow up, I want to be happy. Or maybe a pirate. We'll see.

Why is it that progress can never be just that -- progress? There always has to some kind of underlying motive, some right-wing agenda. And so what? If something's broken, fix it. If it only takes you one step in the right direction, that's still a step and better than going nowhere.
Maybe this country isn't perfect. Chances are, it's a sinking ship. But I'm not about to abandon it that easily. It's flawed, but so is the logic of expecting everything to change overnight.
Progress is slow. But it's still progress.
And that's a damn great thing.
